Lia Evans is a passionate professional licensed hair stylist in her own right from Baltimore Maryland.She attended Salisbury University for two years to study Marketing. However decided to come back home to focus on her main passion, her cosmetology career. She actually received her cosmetology license prior to college from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School in 2006. She was the first in her class to acquire the hours needed take the State Board examination. She passed on the first try and became a licensed professional at the age of 17. Lia’s passion for hair started when she was a young girl when she would style the hair of all her dolls. Her growing talent became more noticeable the older she became. All of this came full circle in college where she would be considered the go to hair stylist on campus. To this day she still has a handful of clients who has been with her since her college days.
As a young stylist Lia was eager to learn so she began to venture out to different educational classes. She took all the tips and tricks she learned from the various salons she worked in and made them her own. She was introduced to advanced education by traveling to trade shows across the U.S. from New York to California. By traveling to shows, Lia got the chance to volunteer and help behind the scenes for international educator Patric Bradley. Not only that but she was also able to take a class from top celebrity stylist Kim Kimble.She is a self proclaimed "education junky” and loves to learn innovative ways to perfect her craft. Her current accomplishments include numerous professional photo shoots, styling hair for a local news station's segment and was a intern hair stylist on a movie set. Other continuing education courses that Lia has attended are Trichology, advanced cutting, coloring, and extensions just to name a few.
Her latest achievement was opening her own salon The Mane Loft in 2015. While she has plans to become an educator in the future, The Mane Loft is her mane focus. That is where she will continue to style and inspire woman to look and feel their absolute best. Lia feels that the sky is the limit and the future is unknown so anything can happen that can catapult her career even further. Stay tuned.
